Indonesian culture close to the action!
The traditional Cakalele dance in our neighbour village Kahuku is an event of the year. Together with our guests we participated the ceremony and had the great possibility to experience the Indonesian culture close to the action.
We aim to make our guests truly appreciate the native population and give them access to the village close to our resort. We try to get very close to the locals here, in this way, we hope to ensure harmonious relations between our guests and the local people.
Together with our guests we went to a special ceremony, where children, women and men in beautiful costumes have been dancing to the rhythm and sounds of drums. The locals told us, the cakalele tradition comes actually from Sangihe Islands. With the ceremony they try to loose all the bad energy from the last year and will receive luck and positive energy for 2016.
